Basic Facts King!

Basic Facts King! an AWESOME game made for basic fact kings. Theres Addition,Multiplication and subtraction. A fun maths activity to play in your learning time. Today I played a spectacular game, with my friend, Te Harangi. Would you like to learn how to play the game?... I'll take that as a yes!
So what you need is: Cards, two players and... cards! :D
So each player has 5 cards, wait! you cant look at the cards. You chose your maths problem,Addition,Subtraction,Multiplication, then you both flip the cards. Kings,Queens,Jacks and Jokers either become tens or taken out of the game. e.g you chose addition so if we flipped our cards and my card was 5 and your card was 9 the answer would be 14 because 5+9=14. Thankyou for reading, Please give me feedback and feedforward.

Auckland Maori u13's netball tournament in Wellington Part Two

Day One.  There's 5 games today, we win our first game.  I begin to feel good.  I'm on now, I play WD. Our team are playing awesome and feeling awesome. I don't feel so nervous now.  We win all 5 games, yay!   It's the end of the day and it's time to say goodbye to my whanau.  This makes me a little sad but it's all part of being a team.  We go to Te Papa Museum.  It's huge! I like what I see but we're all feeling a little bit tired, it's been a big day.  I'm spending more time with my team and I realise that we have a lot of things in common.  We all like to sing and we like doing kapahaka.  This is cool.

Day Two. There's 4 games today, we win our first game. Three more games to play. We win our second game. So far, we're the only team who hasn't lost a game. Two more games to play. We win our third game. It's looking good for us. One more game to play and we'll be undefeated. We're now playing our 9th and final game of the tournament. If we win this, we'll be undefeated. The buzzer goes and we look at the score board, it's a tie! We're so happy that we didn't lose. It's time for my whanau to head home now. I've got prizegiving to attend. One more night with my team and then we fly home in the morning.

It's time to go home. I see my mum, my younger brother and sister at the airport. I'm happy to see them but at the same time, I'm sad to say goodbye to my team. These girls are my friends now. This has been one of the best experiences in my life and I shared it with them and now it's all over. What a trip! We are the Champions!!!

Auckland Maori u13's netball tournament in Wellington Part One

I love netball! I train, I visualise, I feel aggressive, I feel excited and when that whistle blows, my mind says "GO!".  But this time is different. In November 2014 I trialled for the Auckland Maori Netball u13's team. Just under 200 girls trialled for this team and 10 girls were selected to represent Auckland in the National Maori tournament.  I did it I'm here.

Our first training.  I look at the other girls who have been selected.  They are strong, they are fast, they are fit, they are older than me and they know each other.  I feel a little bit scared and I hope it doesn't show. I need to concentrate.  I listen to my coaches and I don't clearly understand what they want me to do but I'm to shy to ask.  This is hard.  I don't like this feeling.

The time has come.  It's now Easter 2015 and we're getting ready to head to Wellington for the National Maori tournament.  I'm more nervous than I am excited and I find out that I'm the only girl in the team who hasn't been on a plane before, great!  My mum, dad, uncle, younger brother and sister are coming to Wellington too, I'm glad.  Although, we've been told that we're not really allowed with our families and we have to stay with our team.  I'm still nervous.
