Auckland Maori u13's netball tournament in Wellington Part One

I love netball! I train, I visualise, I feel aggressive, I feel excited and when that whistle blows, my mind says "GO!".  But this time is different. In November 2014 I trialled for the Auckland Maori Netball u13's team. Just under 200 girls trialled for this team and 10 girls were selected to represent Auckland in the National Maori tournament.  I did it I'm here.

Our first training.  I look at the other girls who have been selected.  They are strong, they are fast, they are fit, they are older than me and they know each other.  I feel a little bit scared and I hope it doesn't show. I need to concentrate.  I listen to my coaches and I don't clearly understand what they want me to do but I'm to shy to ask.  This is hard.  I don't like this feeling.

The time has come.  It's now Easter 2015 and we're getting ready to head to Wellington for the National Maori tournament.  I'm more nervous than I am excited and I find out that I'm the only girl in the team who hasn't been on a plane before, great!  My mum, dad, uncle, younger brother and sister are coming to Wellington too, I'm glad.  Although, we've been told that we're not really allowed with our families and we have to stay with our team.  I'm still nervous.
